My previous blog post was about the dog I recently painted. He’s a great guy, so I wanted to tell the world about him.
Now I’d like to focus on the painting itself and show you how it was accomplished; one layer at a time. I think you’ll be surprised by the boldness of some of the under layers. It’s where I play and experiment with color. They help me to understand more about what pleases my eye, and style. I also believe having bold under layers give the finished painting the subtle energy and excitement it deserves.
